In the recent years, the proportion of the world’s population living in cities has increased substantially. People have moved in ever growing numbers from rural to urban areas. As migration from rural areas to cities continues, it is inevitable that the infrastructure on these cities will collapse. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the proportion of the world’s population living in urban areas. This trend is driven by various factors such as better job opportunities, improved access to education and healthcare, and a higher standard of living. As a result, people are moving from rural to urban areas in ever-growing numbers. While this migration poses many challenges for cities, I believe that with proper planning and investment in infrastructure, the collapse of urban infrastructure can be mitigated.
One of the main challenges posed by the influx of people into cities is the strain it puts on existing infrastructure. Roads, public transportation, water and sanitation systems, and housing facilities are often unable to cope with the rapidly increasing population. This can lead to overcrowding, traffic congestion, inadequate access to clean water and sanitation, and a shortage of affordable housing. However, with careful urban planning and investment in infrastructure, these challenges can be addressed.
One way to tackle the issue of collapsing urban infrastructure is to invest in the expansion and improvement of existing infrastructure.
