It is inevitable that as technology develops so traditional cultures must be lost. Technology and tradition are incompatible – you cannot have both together. To what extent do you agree with this view?

In today’s rapidly evolving world, the clash between technology and traditional cultures has become a topic of great debate. Some argue that as technology advances, traditional cultures are inevitably lost, as the two are fundamentally incompatible. However, I believe that it is possible for technology and tradition to coexist, and that the preservation of traditional cultures is not solely dependent on the advancement of technology.
While it is true that the rapid development of technology has led to changes in traditional cultures, it is important to recognize that technology can also be used as a tool to preserve and promote traditional practices. For example, the internet and social media platforms have provided a means for traditional artists, musicians, and craftsmen to showcase their work to a global audience, thus helping to keep traditional practices alive. Additionally, technological advancements in the fields of archaeology and anthropology have enabled researchers to better understand and document traditional cultures, contributing to their preservation.
Furthermore, it is essential to acknowledge that traditional cultures are not solely defined by their material practices, but also by their values, beliefs, and social customs.
