Art is a subject that has been a topic of debate for many years, with some people arguing that it is an essential part of a child’s education, while others believe it is a waste of time. In this essay, I will discuss both sides of the argument and give my opinion on the matter.
Those who believe that art is an essential subject for children at school argue that it helps to develop creativity and critical thinking skills. Art allows children to express themselves in ways that they may not be able to through other subjects, and it encourages them to think outside the box. Additionally, art can also help to improve a child’s fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, which are important for their overall development.
On the other hand, some people argue that art is a waste of time and resources in schools. They believe that children should focus on more academic subjects such as math and science, which they see as more important for their future success. They also argue that art can be subjective and that it may not have the same value as other subjects in terms of preparing children for the workforce.
In my opinion, I believe that art is an essential subject for children at school.
