First and foremost, healthcare is a fundamental human right. Regardless of a person’s income or social status, everyone should have the right to receive medical treatment when they are ill or injured. It is unjust and inhumane for individuals to be denied access to essential healthcare services simply because they cannot afford to pay for them.
