Sample Answer:
There is a growing debate surrounding the presence of violent sports, such as boxing and martial arts, on television and in international sporting competitions. Some argue that these sports promote aggression and should therefore be banned from public view, while others believe that they are legitimate forms of competition and should be allowed to continue. In my opinion, I disagree with the notion that these sports should be banned, and I believe that they have a place in both television and international competitions.
Firstly, it is important to recognize that sports like boxing and martial arts have a long history and cultural significance in many societies. These sports have been practiced for centuries and hold a special place in the hearts of many individuals. Banning them from television and international competitions would not only be a disservice to those who participate in and enjoy these sports, but it would also be a denial of their cultural heritage.
Furthermore, it is important to consider the impact of banning these sports on the athletes themselves. Many individuals have dedicated their lives to training and competing in these sports, and banning them would effectively strip them of their livelihoods. Additionally, these sports provide opportunities for individuals from all walks of life to compete on a global stage, promoting diversity and inclusivity in the world of sports.
While it is true that these sports can be violent, it is important to note that they are regulated and controlled to ensure the safety of the athletes. Furthermore, the presence of violent sports on television and in international competitions does not necessarily promote aggression. In fact, many athletes and coaches emphasize the importance of discipline, respect, and sportsmanship in these sports, which can serve as positive examples for viewers.
In conclusion, I believe that banning sports involving violence from television and international competitions would be a misguided decision. These sports hold cultural significance, provide opportunities for athletes, and can promote positive values. Instead of banning them, efforts should be focused on promoting safety and sportsmanship within these sports.
