Some people believe that university students are required to attend the classes. Others hold the view that going to classes should be optional for students. What is your view? Discuss. Give reasons for your answer.

In my opinion, university students should be encouraged to attend classes, but it should ultimately be their choice. There are valid arguments on both sides of this issue, and I believe that a balance can be struck that respects the autonomy of students while also recognizing the value of classroom instruction.
On one hand, mandatory attendance can be seen as necessary for ensuring that students are fully engaged in their studies.
