In today’s rapidly changing world, the role of universities in preparing students for the workforce is constantly being scrutinized. Some argue that universities should focus less on theoretical knowledge and instead provide more practical training throughout their courses. While I agree that practical training is essential, I believe that a balance of theoretical and practical knowledge is necessary for a well-rounded education.
Firstly, theoretical knowledge forms the foundation of any field of study. It provides students with a deep understanding of the fundamental principles and concepts that underpin their chosen discipline. Without a strong theoretical background, students may struggle to grasp the complexities of their field and may find it difficult to adapt to new developments and challenges in the future.
