Those who support the idea of high salaries argue that it incentivizes individuals to work hard and strive for success. They believe that the promise of a lucrative salary motivates people to take on challenging and demanding jobs, which ultimately benefits the economy. Additionally, high salaries can attract talent from around the world, which can lead to innovation and economic growth. Proponents of this view also argue that limiting salaries would be unfair and discourage ambition and hard work.
On the other hand, opponents of high salaries argue that it leads to income inequality and social unrest. They believe that when a small percentage of the population earns exorbitant amounts of money, it widens the gap between the rich and the poor.
