It is a widely debated topic whether foreign visitors should be charged more than locals when they visit cultural and tourist attractions in a country. In my opinion, I do not agree with this view for several reasons.
Firstly, charging foreign visitors more than locals can be seen as discriminatory and can lead to a negative perception of the country. It may create a sense of inequality and unfair treatment, which can ultimately affect the country’s reputation as a welcoming and inclusive destination. This could potentially deter foreign visitors from returning or recommending the country to others, resulting in a loss of tourism revenue in the long run.
Furthermore, imposing higher fees on foreign visitors may also hinder cultural exchange and understanding. Tourism plays a crucial role in promoting cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.
