Sample Answer:

In recent years, there has been a global movement towards prohibiting smoking in public places, and many office authorities have also implemented restrictions on smoking within the office premises. This has sparked a debate among people, with some welcoming the restrictions and advocating for a complete ban on smoking, while others feel that it infringes upon their freedom.

Those in favor of the restrictions argue that smoking not only poses a health risk to the smokers themselves, but also to those around them through secondhand smoke. By implementing these restrictions, they believe that it can help create a healthier and safer environment for everyone. Additionally, they argue that smoking in public places can be a nuisance to non-smokers, and therefore, it is only fair to restrict it in order to accommodate the preferences of all individuals.

On the other hand, there are those who feel that these restrictions take away their freedom to make personal choices. They argue that smoking is a personal decision and that individuals should have the right to smoke if they choose to, as long as it does not harm others. They also argue that by imposing these restrictions, it sets a precedent for further limitations on personal freedoms in other areas.

In my opinion, while I understand the concerns of those who feel that these restrictions impede on their freedom, I believe that the benefits of prohibiting smoking in public places far outweigh the drawbacks. The health risks associated with smoking, both for the smoker and those around them, are well-documented, and by implementing these restrictions, we can create a healthier and safer environment for everyone. Additionally, it is important to consider the rights of non-smokers who should not have to be exposed to secondhand smoke in public places.

In conclusion, while it is important to respect individual freedoms, the health and well-being of the general public should take precedence. Therefore, I support the restrictions on smoking in public places and believe that it is a step in the right direction towards creating a healthier and more considerate society.
