Sample Answer:

There is a long-standing debate about the importance of inherent talent versus practice in fields such as sports and music. Some people argue that natural talent is the key factor in achieving greatness in these areas, while others believe that with enough dedication and hard work, anyone can excel. In my opinion, while talent may provide a head start, it is ultimately practice and determination that lead to success in these fields.

Those who argue in favor of inherent talent often point to examples of child prodigies who display an extraordinary ability from a young age. They believe that these individuals are simply born with a natural gift that sets them apart from others. In the world of music, for example, there are countless stories of young virtuosos who seem to effortlessly master complex pieces on their chosen instrument. Similarly, in sports, there are athletes who display exceptional skill and athleticism from a very young age, leading some to believe that talent is the determining factor in their success.

On the other hand, proponents of the practice and determination theory argue that success in sports and music is largely the result of hard work and dedication. They point to the countless hours of practice and training that top athletes and musicians undergo in order to reach the pinnacle of their respective fields. In their view, anyone with enough passion and commitment can achieve greatness, regardless of their natural abilities.

In my opinion, while talent may provide a certain advantage, it is ultimately practice and determination that lead to success in sports and music. While it is true that some individuals may have a natural predisposition for these activities, without the necessary effort and dedication, that talent will ultimately go to waste. On the other hand, those who are willing to put in the hard work and persevere through challenges can achieve remarkable feats, even if they were not initially blessed with exceptional talent.

In conclusion, while the debate between inherent talent and practice in fields like sports and music is ongoing, I believe that hard work and determination are the true keys to success. While talent may provide a head start, it is ultimately the effort and dedication of the individual that lead to greatness.
